Internet addiction in teenagers correlates with self-injury

A survey of Chinese adolescents finds that over 10 percent of them show signs of moderate Internet addiction, and that this strongly correlates with other injurious behaviors, reports John Timmer at Ars Technia.

However, there are some limitations to the study, including its self-reporting and non-longitudinal natures, which means that more research still needs to be done to establish any causal link above correlation.
